Sundström Safety AB was founded in 1926 by Ivan Sundström who was a mining engineer and realized at an early stage the need for protecting the eyes and lungs of miners. Their aim is to protect people against polluted air. The purpose of respiratory protection equipment is to prevent harmful and unhealthy air contaminants from entering the body via the breathing passageways. When all other measures have been taken to reduce dangerous exposure levels, respiratory protection equipment is the last action. The objective at Sundström has been to create an expandable and flexible product range which now include a complete system of masks, filters and accessories for all applications occurring in the market.
